Trap My$tic is the culmination of magic, community and business. It is that sacred space where alchemy, spiritual healing and life purpose come together. Trap My$tic is meant to honour the everyday knowledge of people living in difficult circumstances yet still able to use their magic and spiritual knowing to create something out of nothing. The medicine women, hustlers and the women who run panda/susu (which is essentially the Black bank). While many people may have mixed feelings about these people it is undeniable that many of them understand alchemy and manifestation enough so they have kept whole communities alive.
If you are searching for your passion, freedom, abundance and life purpose you have found a non-judgmental space to release and discuss. Trap My$tic is a blend of intuitive guidance, manifestation coaching, strategic alchemy and life resources for forward movement through healing.
When most people refer to trap they are speaking of the one home in the hood used for drug business operations. While this is the practical meaning behind the word, truly it is the struggle to survive. The ability to take crumbs and build marketing, sales and operations out of it. It is the peoples' ability to find ways to survive when their hope and faith in themselves and others are tested. It is the long history of survival people of colour and cash poor people have had in the face of systemic oppression, all over the world.
"We hustle out of a sense of hopelessness. Sort of a desperation. Through that desperation, we become addicted. But we feel we have nothing to list. So we offer you, well, we offer our lives. I was forced to be an artist and a CEO from the beginning, so I was forced to be like a businessman because when I was trying to get a record deal, it was so hard to get a record deal on my own that it was either give up or create my own company. Wherever I go, I bring the culture with me, so that they can understand that it’s attainable. I didn’t do it any other way than through hip-hop..”

A mystic is a person who is divinely connected with the spirt realm. This person has the innate ability to know information past the point of logic and intellect. They are highly spiritual and intuitive. Often they live by particular teachings and principles inline with love and spirit.
"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy. Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion. Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth
My soul is from elsewhere, I'm sure of that, and I intend to end up there."
My spirituality has always been rooted in authenticity. The communities of everyday people loving and living deeply with each other daily. While taking social work during my undergrad I would travel from the hood to affluent neighbourhoods to work my weekend job at the salon. People were always so impressed by my ability to understand others, my intellect and articulation they would try to separate my knowledge by calling me different. Quite frankly, the hood raised me and church taught me about community. I come from a long line of healers and clairvoyant-visionaries. My foundations started very practical, community and family.
After starting my own business from scratch with very little resources I have learned that most entrepreneurs start their business as a way to heal themselves. Trap My$tic is a space to heal, receive guidance and learn how to listen to that ancestral knowing from the compass in your gut. Above all else Trap My$tic is self-love and divine connection with your inner knowing regarding who you are and how you are.
"I decided to start Trap My$tic after a FaceTime call with a friend in Atlanta, I was reading her Tarot cards with Teal-green hair, a head tie and a "Free Yayo" shirt on and she yelled "Trap Mystic" randomly. The name felt right, sent to me from my ancestors through her. I proceeded with her reading and in that call we connected her romantic blockages to career blockages, she sobbed as I shared with her all I saw. It was in that moment I realized my gift to see people, really witness them and meet them where they are at needed to be shared" - Tanya
“The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom [Because} We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations....Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage.”
